Lorma Blacktime Series Bracelet

Lorma Blacktime Series Bracelet represents the Lorma unique calendar system that is based on a 7-day week. The calendar is divided into 13 months, with each month consisting of 28 days. This adds up to a total of 364 days, and an extra day is added to the end of the year to make it a full 365-day year.

The Lorma calendar system is said to have been introduced by one of our founding fathers. It is believed that he received the knowledge of the calendar from the gods during his spiritual quest. The calendar is used for both practical and spiritual purposes and is an essential part of Lorma culture.

Each month of the Lorma calendar is named after an important event or occurrence in Lorma history, such as the month of "Sákáláwù" which is named after a legendary hunter who killed a giant python that was terrorizing a village. The months are further divided into four weeks, with each week consisting of seven days. 

Today, the Lorma people continue to use their calendar system and uphold their cultural traditions, including the celebration of their festivals such as the "Kakata" festival which marks the end of the farming season and the "Gbagba" festival which celebrates the initiation of young boys into manhood.
