Nike is gearing up to launch its latest Yardrunners collection celebrating the legacies of Historically Black Colleges and Universities. The initiative, which was introduced in 2020, has produced limited-edition footwear tied to HBCUs including a set of Dunk Lows in 2023 and two Air Force 1s in 2024. For 2025, Nike is doubling down on last year’s collection by releasing four special-edition colorways of its remastered Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble sneaker.
The universities selected for the ’25 Nike Yardrunners collection include Florida A&M (FAMU), Morehouse, Norfolk State and Spelman. Rather than simply applying each college’s respective color scheme to the retro running shoe, Nike went all-in on details, adding mascot-inspired textures and school-specific branding to each pair.
